neue Serie57®
neue Serie57® is neither a revival nor a reworking of an old type. It is a discovery—or rather a rediscovery. Designed by Günter Gerhard Lange in 1957 who had caught the spirit of the times and simplified the youngest child of the Akzidenz-Grotesk family. Unfortunately, it was never made into a family—until Erik Spiekermann discovered it in a mislabelled case. Prints from the original metal type were used by Alexander Roth to design the very first digital version of Akzidenz-Grotesk Serie 57.

neue Radial
neue Radial is not what it seems at first sight. Most certainly it is not another geometric grotesque, but an impeccable visual system that unites four of the most popular sans serif genres of recent decades, integrated in this superfamily under the suffixes A, B, C and D. neue Radial is a highly consistent design machine. Each family comes in no less than 18 weights ranging from thin to black, decorated with regular and book weights, if necessary. No need to mention different sets of figures, but essential to point out squared and circled digits as well as several styles of arrows allowing for extensive use in identities, information design and orientation systems.

neue Singular
neue Singular is a contemporary Neo-grotesque sans-serif designed in three variants. The suffixes H, D, and V indicate the corresponding treatment of the stroke endings: H for horizontal, D for diagonal, and V for vertical. Despite of the stylistic range neue Singular covers it is still one coherent typographic system that shares the same amount of weights, identical character sets and vertical dimensions. Professional typographers are encouraged to use the individual variants as optical sizes — neue Singular H for headlines, neue Singular D for copy and neue Singular V for the small print.

neue Vektor
neue Vektor is subject to the idea of »one destination, three routes«: satisfying one particular design demand with identical characteristics such as character set, number of styles, OpenType functionalities and metrics, but doing it so in three stylistically different ways. The latter has a double life — the idea of the three variants is not only a stylistic exercise but is most and foremost an array of tools to address multifaceted typographic settings. These settings can be of aesthetical, structural or optical nature.

neue Unikat
neue Unikat is an interpretation of a typeface used by the Singapore Land Transit Authority for its directional signage. The typeface design is based on a rigid grid with little to no room for optical compensations or any kind of harmonisation. This approach can be seen as epitomic to an engineer’s way of thinking and designing which surprisingly can offer paradoxically unorthodox solutions.
